The world knows three facts: Bitcoin was created in 2009. Its creator called himself Satoshi Nakamoto. He vanished without a trace.

Before he was Satoshi, he was Ezra Rayan Tyndale—sixteen years old in St. Petersburg, 2006. In his veins flowed the impossible—Jewish wisdom, Christian grace, Muslim devotion—united in one boy who spoke seven languages but had no words for what he was becoming.
